After 3 years my contract has come to a close and I’ve parted ways with one of the best positions of my entire life. Trusty Oak will always hold a place in my heart for the time I spent, the people I spent it with, and the best person I’ve ever worked for, Amber Grey.
Meeting Amber over 10 years ago, and thinking about how much her company and passion built such an amazing platform of people and a wonderful community of virtual assistants.
A look back at some of the things I’ve helped with over the last 3 years.
I created a Kajabi site from scratch.
I edited and published dozens of episodes of a niche podcast.
Built a number of sites, or rebuilt existing sites into wordpress sites, or maintained current sites on multiple platforms(weebly, squarespace, and of course wordpress), doing the part of the web work I know best for some very interesting and diverse clients.
Our big project was rebuilding trustyoak.com itself, and working with the team internally, I built everything on the new site and launched it in 2020, as remote workers became more than a side gig, and became a way of life for many more people. As Amber said
Hey, you should definitely put that freelancer hiring platform of the year award on your personal site/portfolio. We could not have done that without your expertise and effort. Feels pretty good to get that after all we have done on the site and you deserve a big part of the credit for that.
Amber Grey
Which was one of the nicest compliments I’ve received for my work.I can’t thank this person enough for everything, everyone should check out Trusty Oak if you need a virtual assistant
