And I breathe a sigh of relief, but only for a moment, I’ll feel great when they’re all shipped and accounted for, and I won’t get another, “I ordered sometime in july, just wondering wtf?”  We’re still going through lost orders and backtracking all the shipments to make sure everyone gets their package, but we’re no longer taking any more orders, surprisingly enough we managed to get rid of them all(through several different efforts).

We dropped off a few pallets here at the 15 Rose for awhile, and that turned into an interesting experiment.  Leaving them out, then encouraging people to take as much as they want, worked well for the first round of pallets.  Three pallets sat in our breezeway for one month before they were taken by the locals willing to grab a few, we ordered three more pallets and they lasted only 4 days, I don’t really know how that happened.

Finally got around to fixing some of the graphical/style elements of the HeadShot Blog and our Impulse One Blog.  Both were in need of some tweaking, so check ‘em out and let me know what you think of the progress so far.

I’m now in the process of learning adsense, because we don’t actually have any money to pay for adwords, so let’s see if there’s anything to placing unobtrusive text ads on our blogs.  I’ve started by testing a few banners on iNeed while it’s still operating.  Next I’ll learn to start placing it unobtrusively on all of our blogs, and then to any other blog that I make in the future that may need it, seems to be the thing to do these days.

Currently testing out a few adsense plug-ins, but nothing’s really standing out as a useful solution yet, maybe I’ll find it out there, and then actually post that plug-in article I’ve been working on, but that’s all in the future, unless your reading this now, then it may be in the present or past, or may not have happened at all, the unknown has yet to decide, or has it already been done….ooooeeeeeooooeeeeeeeuuuuu…..

Want proof, oh well I got some proof. What’s fun about all this is seeing our product showing up in different places. It’s really cool to see something you helped make showing up in other people’s pictures.

Totals Up to 03-31-2009

So up to March 31, 2009 we’ve managed to give away 2,659 cases of HeadShot. That means we only have 22,341 left!! We’re getting there…I guess. Still seems like a lot, but we’re getting a new order from iNeed everyday, so slowly but surely we’ll spread the wealth until we’re out of it.  Make sure to tell your friends, or anyone you know, we have plenty to go around.

Which was the same day that SlickDeals posted this little dity.  So our inbox backed up that entire weekend with orders, and then we came back on Monday, readied a new shipping system workflow so we could get everyone their tracking number, and started going down the list.

However it seems the internet has this instant gratification idea, where one week without contact and your customer is up in arms wondering where the hell their money went(can’t really blame them though, I know I would be the same way).  And now that we’re getting into the third week since posting and people are getting a little more than annoyed that they haven’t heard anything more than a paypal receipt, some even demanding refunds.  And there isn’t even a hold up, it’s just taking our fulfillment manager awhile, she’s the only going through and shipping these out, and with several hundred orders it’s taking her awhile.

It’s interesting though, being on the other side of something like this, and I’m starting to understand why it’s takes 4-6 weeks to get a free sample of something.

Although this is showing us that we need to take the helm here, and leave the Arkansas office to selling and “thinking”.  In the next few days I should be moving out to Venice, CA, setting up shop out there, and when that happens we’re hoping to take on the fulfillment role since we’ll be close enough to our LA warehouse, and we’ll have room for storage in the basement of the Rose for now.  Because I just can’t keep taking the rap for something I have no control over, I have to fix that.

So if you’re reading this and wondering where you HeadShot is, it’s on the way, just give it some more time and you’ll be happy you did.

The orders have not stopped all day, and they keep coming.  This is great, we’re getting a lot of HeadShot out the door and covering the cost, we may be able to do this until we run out now!  Only an esitmated *23,059 cases left.

*I honestly have no idea how many we have left…

I’m currently working on a level for Little Big Planet centered around HeadShot Energy Shot.  You grab a bottle and fly through the air, it’s fun stuff but still needs just a few more tweaks to fix the obvious problems.  I’m going to try to update some of the pictures too, but it should be done soon, I’ll let you know when to look for it.
